Front of House Manager

Dal Zotto Wines are looking for a full time Front of House Manager based in Whitfield, in the King Valley. This person will take on management of our Trattoria and Cellar Door, and 20 staff, working with the site manager, kitchen and events teams to deliver expectation-exceeding customer experiences. Our site at Whitfield is the heart of the Dal Zotto brand, where people discover and connect with our family, wine and story. This role is crucial in delivering experiences at home that match our national presence. 

The Cellar Door is open 10am to 5pm seven days a week, and the Trattoria is open Wednesday-Sunday for lunches and Friday for dinner. This is a full time position and ideally, you will work over a seven-day roster, including some weekends and public holidays. We are famous for our family-friendly and inclusive events, that you will plan and implement with the events team. 

About you: 

  • Extensive experience in Front of House operations, across floor service, wine, basic bar and coffee 
  • Cellar door experience and understanding of customer journey 
  • Superb customer service skills 
  • Experience with Open Table and Lightspeed would be ideal, otherwise solid computer skills and a willingness to learn 
  • Basic wine knowledge, but more importantly a passion for wine – WSET training available to the right candidate 
  • A fast learner who is not afraid to learn new systems and continuously improve them
