Casual Restaurant and Cellar Door Staff 

About the role 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our team.  

This position will involve working within our Trattoria and Cellar Door teams, reporting to relevant supervisors, preparing tables for service, greeting customers, serving food and drinks, upsell wine club and promotional activities, provide guided wine tasting experiences and ensure every customer has an excellent experience at Dal Zotto Wines. 

Our Cellar Door is open 10am to 5pm seven days a week, and the Trattoria (restaurant) is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch, and Friday nights for dinner. We also host events and functions in these spaces throughout the year. 

We are currently looking to fill a casual employment position, however, there are possibilities for a more permanent offering for the right candidates.  

We consider our staff and guests as family, and we are looking to add another member to our team who will adopt this mentality and welcome every customer to Dal Zotto Wines with our same warm energy and ensuring they feel like family once they leave. 

This position requires casual work within a seven-day rotating roster which includes weekend work and some public holidays.

Skills and experience 

  • A positive attitude, willing and eager to continually learn 
  • High organisation, planning and listening skills 
  • An ability to demonstrate exceptional and welcoming customer service 
  • A practical and positive approach to problem solving 
  • Experience working within a team 
  • Current VIC RSA Certificate 
  • Experience in a similar role 
  • Understanding of wine is helpful, but not essential 
  • Any kitchen experience will also be highly regarded
